He talks about education being the future which I think is right. If the whole world is on the same page with technology and products are getting shipped anywhere across the world. Whether its Walmart over sees market or UPS fixing everything. We as people need to know how this works.
And as people who want to be educators we need to teach this too our young adults. The student that design Mozilla with a person thousands of miles away in a different country is just remarkable. But that time is here, normal people can, make there own blogs, podcast, and video about what ever they want. Education is a powerful tool but only good when it is used to improve our world. Our students and younger people need to know how they can use the internet and how it works with everything around to improve there knowledge.
Great reflection, Gareth. I agree that education is a powerful tool and the Internet plays a tremendous role in knowledge acquisition. What do you think--can we use the Internet to amplify all of the great things that are occurring in education?
